A busy Greenwich, Connecticut family is seeking a skilled Nanny to care for their young child Monday through Friday from 11am until 7pm. A staff vehicle will be provided during your workday.
The ideal candidate has previously cared for a pre-school child, is highly organized, and available to travel from time to time.
Childcare Responsibilities:
- Build connections with the child and provide care, warmth, and security.
- Drive the child to and from school and activities.
- Stay abreast of educational and developmental milestones.
- Prepare healthy snacks and meals and encourage good eating habits.
- Plan educational and age-appropriate activities i.e. museums, parks, and/or playdates.
- Actively engage with the child by playing, singing, crafting, etc.
Household Responsibilities:
- Help keep the child’s spaces neat and tidy.
- Work as a team with the principal and other staff to ensure the day runs smoothly.
- Child related housekeeping including laundry, sheets, etc.
- Assist with the care of a small, well-trained dog.
Qualifications:
- First Aid and CPR Certified or willing to be certified.
- Strong swimmer.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding references with related experience.
- Fluency in Spanish a plus.
- Long term intent.
Schedule:
This is a full-time, year-round position. Generally, Monday – Friday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm with flexibility to stay later.
Compensation:
Compensation up to $60/hour depending on experience and qualifications. Great benefits include healthcare, PTO, and paid holidays.
