A busy family on the Upper East Side is seeking an educated nanny for their 5-year-old daughter. There may be occasions, however, when the nanny is required to step-in and help with meals and care for their two older sons. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7am-9am then again from 2:30pm-8:30pm. The role can be a split shift or the the family will guarantee 50-60 hours and ask that the candidate help with light errands and some PA work. The family is willing to make the schedule work for the right person.
The children are in school from 8am-3pm every day so you’ll start early and help with the morning routine, the school shuffle and drop-off. You can either take time off while the child is in school or add in more hours and you’ll be more hands-on during the day with miscellaneous tasks such as liaising with contractors, managing food deliveries, running errands, and more. You’ll also be required to keep things tidy and prepare simple, Kosher-friendly meals (though there is also a housekeeper/cook). This is an informal household and the ideal candidate will be low-key and easygoing – a “big sister” type who can offer gentle guidance/help with homework, etc. rather than take charge and be too strict. A strong educational background is preferred, along with experience working with school aged children.
The family travel in the summer to the Hampton’s, and they take 3-4 vacations throughout the year- they would love a nanny willing to join from time to time. The ability to drive is a huge plus, for the purpose of running errands/dropping-off/picking-up (when in the Hampton’s, not in the city). If you are interested and legal to work in the US, please apply to KO182.
