Job summary: A lovely Dutch family seeks a sole charge live-out nanny for their 2-year-old and 3 months old.

Ideally you can start ASAP however they can wait until 1st September for the right candidate. They seek a nanny who can commit for at least a year.

They are happy to have a nanny three days or four days depending on the nanny’s requirements. The schedule would be either:

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 8 - 7pm


Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, 8 - 7pm and Tuesday 2 - 9pm.

It would be great if you could occasionally babysit on a Friday.

The baby is happy and smiley, the family are keen for her to have a consistent schedule. She doesn't currently take a bottle, the Mum job is flexible so she is able to be around to feed her. Her older brother is full of energy, plays well independently, eats well and loves being outside. He has lots of friends in the neighbourhood so you need to be happy planning playdates and adventures. He goes to daycare, his sister will also attend daycare in the future. He has an allergy to peanut butter. The children watch a maximum of 20 minutes screen time per day.

Ideal candidates are team players, can put in boundaries and confident being honest and open with the parents regarding the children. They view the nanny as part of their team. A proactive nanny is important someone who plans zoo trips, takes the children to local classes and plans a variety of activities out and about. There is access to a zoo card.

The beautiful house is located in central Amsterdam, they have a large garden.

Duties: All standard nursery duties, cooking for the children and general tidying is the nanny's responsibility.

They currently don’t have any pets but maybe get a dog in the future.

Experience and qualifications required: The family would love to speak with nannies with different levels of experience. Their focus is finding the right match for their family. Professional baby experience is vital.

Skills required: There is access to a bakfiets but it’s not a requirement to cycle. It’s a plus not a requirement if you can drive. They would love a native English speaking nanny, happy to consider candidates who speak a very high level of English. Being safety conscious and a confident swimmer is vital for this job.

The salary will depend on whether you will work three days or four days, your experience and qualifications. The range is between €2800 - 4000 gross per month.

Agency requirements: Applicants must have an EU passport or already have a permit or visa for the Netherlands. Applicants need a minimum of three years of full-time professional childcare experience, valid pediatric first aid, and a recent police check to register.
