Fabulous new opportunity for a Mandarin speaking Nanny to join a home where two of the children are fluent! Accommodation can be offered for a live in candidate

A family who have relocated to London from Hong Kong are looking for a nanny who is a native Mandarin speaker. The two oldest children are fluent Mandarin speakers as they have grown up in Hong Kong and they would love to continue the language flowing through the home so the youngest child and parents learn Mandarin. The two eldest children will be at school so the nanny working one day over the weekend is important and would be when the girls would have more free time to focus on their Chinese. The family are open to the position either being daily or live in and can offer separate accommodation for the suitable candidate.

The role will be based in Kensington for the first year and then the family will be moving to their newly renovated home in Covent Gardens.

Accommodation: Separate flat with own exit and entrance to the home as well as its own mini kitchen (stove, oven, fridge) and tv, and bathroom with shower – offered for 9 to 11 months then a daily position

General duties:

Undertaking daily nanny duties
Teaching the children by communicating with them in Mandarin
Planning games, learning activities and fun things to do to support the children with their language

Housekeeping in relation to the children and tidying the kitchen after use – if live in

Salary –

Live in:£43,500 gross per annum

Daily: £45,000 gross per annum

Hours and days:

Live in: Tuesday to Thursday, 7am to 12pm then 3pm to 6pm and Saturday 8 hours (40 hours)
Daily: Three mornings a week and Saturday and Sunday (40 hours a week)

Candidate requirements:
